Not All Building Inspectors
are the Same
Trust us to find all your faults. When buying a home, commercial building or rental property you need an honest, unbiased, accurate evaluation from a qualified, experienced building inspector. You need to know what you’re in for and you need to have confidence in the building report you pay for: there’s a lot at stake.
Qualified Builders Looking for Trouble
The quality of building inspections can be variable and relying on a misleading or poorly done inspection could see you out of pocket. You need an inspector who is completely independent from all real estate agents and works only for you: the client paying for the report.
All building inspections carried out by Kiwi House Inspections are completely independent, confidential, unless agreed otherwise, and in accordance with the New Zealand residential property inspection standard NZS:4306 2005. Call 21 910 304. You’ll thank us later.
Trouble is what this team is good at; they know how to look for tell-tale signs of moisture, structural or maintenance issues and can immediately spot any sub-standard building work. Problems can’t hide in closets or behind walls when these building inspectors are on the hunt.
With over 20 years’ experience in the building industry, Craig Smith has worked on hundreds of both commercial and residential properties. You will get a thorough building inspection carried out by a Licensed Building Practitioner with a huge range of building skills, an in-depth knowledge of building processes and a thorough knowledge of the New Zealand building code. Craig is a member of the Building Officials Institute of New Zealand and knows all about the problems that can occur with buildings of all sorts of ages and styles.
Years as a building site manager means Craig has the skills and experience to translate what he finds in the course of a building inspection into a comprehensive, but easy-to-read written building report.
You’ll get an affordable property and house inspection, a legible building report and the inspection team will be available to discuss any issues or concerns from their findings.
Building Inspector Warkworth
Craig Smith moved to Warkworth with his family 5 years ago. His parents had already been living in Sandspit for the past 25 years and Craig made the move north from Auckland in order to diversify. As a site manager on both commercial and residential builds, he had been in charge of large teams of builders and sub-contractors and was looking forward to the opportunity to work more closely with Northland home owners.
A keen diver and fisherman, Craig loves Northland. Working as a building inspector from Warkworth sees Craig travelling from Whangaparaoa right through to Whangarei, which he truly enjoys.
